1. Download the hint file to your computer and view the hints off-line. You will need a UHS reader to view the hints. These files are compressed in the PKZIP format. You will also need to unzip these files before using them.
2. View the hints on-line with the UHSWeb service. No downloads are required -- just click on the appropriate "UHSWeb" link and select the hints you need directly through your web browser.

If you just need a hint or two, UHSWeb is probably best for you, but if you need many hints or play many games, a reader is probably better. Both of these methods provide you with the same quality of hints. UHSWeb offers basic hints without the need to download anything, but you must stay connected to the Internet to read the hints. If you get a UHS reader and downloadable hint files, you can browse our hints off-line -- even print out or search an entire file at once.

Please note that the UHS readers are distributed as shareware. This means that you must purchase your reader after extended use. There are also limitations in the availability of certain hints within downloaded files, except those marked with a green triangle. You can purchase a registered copy of your UHS reader for $20. This payment is designed to help us continue producing future hint files and upgrade our software -- and covers all of our hint files for the price. Hints via UHSWeb are always free, although if you're using UHSWeb a lot, you may find it more convenient to use the readers instead.
